THE BISHOP'S LODGE
The day begins at 8:00 a.m. on the front porch of the Main Lodge. Children start off the day with breakfast and continue activities through lunch until 4:00 p.m., with the day ending at the swimming pool. Daytime activities may include pony rides, hiking, time on the playground, fishing in the pond, arts and crafts and afternoons at the pool. Children meet again at 5:45 p.m. for dinner and evening activities including cookouts, campfires, storytelling, lawn games and movies. The evening session ends at 9:00 p.m. when youngsters are picked up at the Main Lodge. Schedules vary from day to day and may include special events like pool pizza parties, campfire cookouts and theme nights.
Most of the meals are taken in the special dining room, the Fiesta Room. The children's menu strives to address parents' concerns for healthy food and the children's' traditional preferences. In addition to the children's program, there are several other excursions available for the entire family to enjoy including trips to different archeological ruins and historic sites, raft trips and chair lift rides. Aside from these activities, children especially enjoy The Museum of International Folk Art.
