THE CAMPBELL HOUSE - A CITY INN
252 Pearl Street
Eugene, Oregon 97401
The Campbell House is a Queen Anne shingle-style Victorian nestled in an acre of beautifully landscaped grounds adjacent to hiking trails in the East Skinner Butte Downtown Historic District of Eugene. Originally built in 1892 by gold miner and timber owner John Cogswell for his daughter Idaho, this City Inn was completely renovated in 1993.
Elegant, light guest rooms, beautifully appointed, and sporting Waverly fabrics and wallpapers, create an English country ambiance. The most popular suite offers hardwood floors, high dormer ceilings, four-poster bed, gas fireplace and a jetted tub for two.
After you've settled in, your hosts recommend lunch or dinner at Willie's on 7th Street. The entree menu just begins with Apricot-Rosemary Pork, Fresh Chinook Salmon, and Szechuan Chicken. The walk to Willie's can take you by restaurants, boutiques, antique shops, the river walk, and the Holt Center for the Performing Arts.
The Campbell House is also ideal for a business meeting or retreat, with 3-becomes-1 conference rooms, most office amenities, and catering available.
Whether you come to Eugene for a sports vacation, business, to visit someone at the University of Oregon, or just kick back and relax, the genteel and quiet marble floored lobby, well-stocked library and lovely gardens help chase away the business of the day. There are also special events sprinkled across the year, including Murder Mystery Nights in October!
