Northern New England

Bromley Mountain, Vermont SUMMER FUN for KIDS in SNOW COUNTRY Six miles east of Manchester, Vermont on Route 11 is Bromley. In winter this is a hot-bed (cold-bed?) of ski excitement. But now the snow is gone and Bromley switches gears. Memorial Day weekend the slopes re-open! Last year Bromley introduced DevalKarts - Americans' first introduction. DEVALKARTS are built of fiberglass bodies, with brakes built into the steering mechanism, which allows riders to control their speed at all times. Gravity driven, the Karts are pollution free and put smiles on the faces of everyone who rides them! Children must be 10 years of age and reach a minimum height requirement. Helmets are also required. THE ALPINE SLIDE, the longest in Vermont, will again swing into action on Memorial Day. The Slide is composed of three different "tracks," each one for different ability levels. Slow, fast or cruise-down-easy, families and groups alike come from all over to ride. Let the scenic chairlift ride you to the summit observation tower, where great hiking and photo opportunities await. The spectacular view of 5 states is not to be missed!
