It's the dilemma of vacationing parents everywhere: How to have a relaxing family vacation full of leisure and recreational activities and still bring the kids along?
The Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, has the answer. Parents can enjoy the resort's golf courses, tennis courts, European-style spa or a long candlelight dinner. Meanwhile, children can participate in a treasure hunt, bake cookies with the resort's chef, paint T-shirts, watch a magic show or create computer art graphics!
The all-season, all-sport luxury resort features two supervised activity programs: the GRAND ADVENTURE CLUB for kids ages 4 to 12 and the GRAND ADVENTURE TEEN CLUB for older children.
According to Dan Hoppe, director of sales and marketing, the Grand Adventure Program offers an ideal solution for parents who want to vacation with their children, but need an opportunity to relax. "The children can enjoy the Adventure Club activities while parents utilize all that the 1,300-acre resort has to offer," said Hoppe.
The Grand Adventure Club operates from 10am to 9pm and the Teen Club runs until 11pm. Children can participate in activities such as making and flying kites, baking cookies with the resort's chef, bead and jewelry making, tennis and golf clinics, swimming, croquet and treasure hunts.
At night, while parents enjoy time alone, the Grand Adventure Club entertains children with theme dinners and activities such as a Mexican food, decor, music and a pinata filled with treats; and a western barbecue with a hay ride and ghost stories. Why wait to celebrate New Year's Eve and Halloween? Throughout the year, Grand Adventure Club will feature a New Year's-style party with hats, horns and a countdown to the new day; Halloween will be celebrated with costumes and trick-or-treating around the resort.
As a member of the Grand Adventure Program, children ages 4 to 12 receive a T-shirt, a special children's turn-down service featuring milk and cookies or caramel apples; a card and present on birthdays; and a quarterly Grand Adventure newsletter. Twenty percent of the $50 annual membership fee will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
The Grand Adventure Club operates seven days a week during the summer, on weekends throughout the year, Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas/New Year's holidays and Easter/Spring break.
Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is an all-seasons, all-sports resort with 55 luxury guest rooms, two PGA championship 18-hole golf courses, and 50,000 square feet of meeting and convention space.
