Red Rock Ranch opened its doors to guests in 1976. An 1890 cattle and horse ranch in a secluded valley of the Gros Ventre Wilderness surrounded by spectacular steep red cliffs, majestic mountain ranges, home of Rocky Mountain Sheep, antelope, elk, moose and deer. A unique western adventure awaits you at Schively Ranch. Our season starts mid-April with several cattle drives, as we gather and trail cows and calves out of winter Wyoming pastures to native grassland country along the Eastern slopes of Pryor Mountains in Montana. We run 1200 cows on about 40,000 acres, including the lower Dryhead at 5,000 feet and Schively at 6,000 feet. Both ranches remain rustic and ranchy. There are cabins at Schively and a divided bunkhouse at Dryhead, both with central bath and dining rooms. We'll meet you in Billings, Montana. 4-wheel drive pickup service is available. Not a dude ranch, but an actual western cattle ranch.
