The ranch is located in the central Rocky Mountains adjoinging Lost Creek Wilderness Area with Pike's Peak looming to the southeast. Historic Cripple Creek with its casinos is only a short drive away. The scenery, the cool, clear weather combined with great activities and warm hospitality will provide the vacation of a lifetime. The ranch is ideally located with easy access from either Denver or Colorado Springs. We limit the number of guests to around 30 per week, assuring personal attention and special treatment to all. Weekly adult rates $1000, kids $400-$800. Spend the entire week riding both morning and afternoon, or take a break and relax on the porch of your cabin. You can go white water rafting, hiking, fishing or sightseeing as well. After soaking in our hot tub, enjoy your evening by snuggling up with a good book or joining us for a campfire sing-along. Continually-operated guest ranch since 1912, Bar Lazy J is settled in a peaceful valley of the Colorado River. Our 3/4 mile of the river offers some of the finest Rainbow and German Brown trout fishing in the state. Horseback riding is offered twice daily for all levels, including breakfast ride, and scenic all-day ride. Evening activities include campfire, square dances, staff show, hayrides and volleyball games. We accommodate 38 guests weekly, in cozy log cabins along the river. Maid service daily.
